Are you ready to push the Drupal limits?

We are developing an innovative educational platform using Drupal (along with a few other Open Source applications) and need Drupal/PHP developers to continue to drive the expansion of our business. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing start-up and go beyond simply creating web-sites and really push the limits of what can be done with Drupal.

Current Openings:
1 Full-time (contractor or employee) Drupal/PHP developer
1 Part-time (contractor) Drupal/PHP developer

Since we haven't scared up enough interest for a Drupal only event yet, lets latch on to the already successful PHP Meetup that has been happening in Providence over the last few years.

You can register and RSVP at http://php.meetup.com/338/

There are already a few Drupal people in this group so there should be plenty of opportunities to talk Drupal.

Lets get this Rhode Island Meetup started!

We should meet up. Drupalcon2008 just finished, we should at the very least debrief!

Where could we meet? My company has tentatively offered their office space. It needs to be cleared by the higher ups first, though. There is also AS220, which a lot of other meetups use.

As announced, we are doing another meetup on Nov 6 at 6:30pm.

We've been invited by Team Lullabot to hold our meetup in downtown Providence at the famous Biltmore hotel. Their whole team is in town giving workshops. Are folks interested in changing things up and doing the meeting there? I recognize that it is quite far for many people. Please post a comment here if you can go to Providence, and if not, would you go to Harvard Berkman Center as usual.

I will announce the final location of the meetup by Sunday night.

The next meeting will be December 11 @ 6:30 pm at Havard Berkman Center in Cambridge

mrf - Wed, 2007-09-12 13:25

Coming up in October there is an event in Boston that may interest Ocean State Drupalers.

Now that jQuery is an integral part of Drupal, it is in every Drupal user's best interest to keep up to date with jQuery's development. Luckily for those of us in New England there is jQuery Camp. October 27, 2007 many of jQuery's main developers, along with many core Drupal contributers will be holding a mini-conference in Boston (location to be determined).

More information can be found out by visiting the events information page.

Welcome to the Rhode Island Drupal users group.

I founded this group in the hope that there are more Drupalers in the Ocean State that are dying to get together and discuss exciting things like the form API and the PHP template engine.

If you are out there, introduce yourself in the comments and let me know what direction you would like to see the Rhode Island group heading.
