About Me

I've been scripting Websites for over a decade and Drupal fits rather well in my way of thinking: make the ground first and then, only then, build on it; share the blocks freely and let them evolve in the wild; empower creative users while simplifying common tasks.

Because we have so much in common, I want to get to know Drupal more, better, and maybe even thoroughly. One, to continue integrating powerful Websites the lazy way; second, to either use it as a platform or a cog for other applications; and for inspiration, to adopt it, nurture it, because it seems like a decent enough framework that deserves the investment.

Among other things, I'm currently specializing in the too common Web technologies PHP, *SQL, JavaScript, CSS, XML/XSLT and such. I've done worse; I'm interested in better. I have a degree in the field and got distracted by a few other subjects, too. I like to understand digital publishing from many angles and I have a special fondness for observing the way technology rewrites our basic assumptions, which can be both empowering and tragic at the same time, and therefore often funny under a right lighting. I'm a good enough writer, but I can only do French and English. And, although I am humbled enough by professional graphic designers not to take over their turf, I have been known to doodle, try out a few art classes and even experience creative outbursts.
