I live in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. I found out about Drupal about a year ago while searching for ways to conveniently manage a website, and I got interested in it by the statement someone put in a Joomla vs. Drupal review, which essentially said that it was hard to fake being a Drupal coder. I took this to mean that Drupal code was well-formed, integrated, and that Drupal had an API for most stuff. Luckily, I was right.
I want to dive into Drupal development (I'm already doing slight coding and managing my personal website). I'll benefit from it commercially (by first developing modules and selling/maintaining websites using those) and also by developing/contributing to modules for the community.
My personal website is listed. It was originally in phpBB, but I found that to be strangely restrictive. It's an effort to popularize mathematics, which is a passion of mine. It's a work-in-progress (every live website is). In the short-term, I want it to be a moderated forum and wiki. In the long term, I plan to add social networking features to it. My formal 'job' is as a student at the National University of Sciences and Technology (http://www.nust.edu.pk). I'm in my third year of Electrical Engineering there.
