Organization Profile

My "Business Direction" refocusing of your web site can result in tripling your web revenue within the year. This special service evaluates your firm's existing revenue channels, and your future business desires, to change your web site page content to solicit pre-qualified buying customers, for conversion from a "page view" to purchase, telephone contact or office visit for your on-site sales pitch, or to tour your facility, whatever might increase the sale closure rate.

Give me a thumbnail description of your application, and get my free evaluation of solution approaches, and see if there is match between your needs, my skill and availability.

The first hour of consultation is free.

Contact me via pete-gdo.nospam at peterbenjamin.com for my office telephone number. [Remove the ".nospam" before sending.]

With 37 years of programming in 57 langauages, I provide Web Design Services, with a focus on Drupal 6 and 7 in the areas of coding custom solutions with Modules, CCK, Views, and Databases to provide low cost web based solutions for public, Intranet, and legacy support.

Service Offerings

Drupal services include migrating legacy web databases and theme templates, User Interface Design, Web Page Layout, Web Site Sections Design, navbar data glut design, Art Direction, Color Selection, Search Engine Optimization, and others to complete a full range of Web Design Services.

These same services are offered for non Drupal solutions, on many different web template systems, particularly if you are looking for editing of existing pages, or creating new web sections for targeted audiences.

I provide SEO evaluation and creation of a prioritized, weighted keyword list to use for salting. I provide training in using Google Analytics and AdWords. I'm familiar with Constant Contact XHTML authoring.

I will write manuals for your staff, and train staff to take over all roles.

I am able to hand code HTML 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and CSS 1, 2, and 3.

I started full time coding web site CGI in 1993, for NEC, Global Van Lines, Toyota, Graphic Appraisal, and Ray Charles. I run a small web hosting and mail service for select clients who ask me. I develop on Linux, FreeBSD, Macintosh/Apple, and Windows, and IBM Mainframe.

Application Software and Hardware Background

I've used a wide variety of Unixes and Linux distros, including IBM AIX, VAX, HP UX, SunOS, Apollo, Ubuntu 9.10 and 10.4, Redhat, Debian, Gentoo, CentOS, NetBSD, OpenBSD, ESIX, Minix, and others.

I am knowledgable in installing, configuring and maintaining Internet services, like web, mail, ssh, scp/sftp. I've used a dozen web servers, from Netscape and Web Commander to IIS and Apache. I'm knowledgeable with networking configurations, DNS, firewalls, LANs, WANs, and gateways.

I am proficient with desktop and server hardware technology, able to assemble and fix all hardware components. I can select and configure a server for you, or desktop computers, or other periperhals.

I have superior troubleshooting skill in all these OSes and applications. Forsenic analysis is available.

Languages include PHP, Perl, C++, C, Java, JavaScript, Visual Basic, Basic, and Fortran. A complete list is available upon request, including many IBM products. I read hex, octal, ASCII, EBCDIC, core dumps, and have coded in machine and assembly languages. Commands od and tcpdump are my old friends. Now a days, Wire Shark and Hex Editors do the same thing.

I've run my colocated, full time Internet servers on FreeBSD and Gentoo, as well as consulting on a dozen other Linux distro Internet hosts. Currently, I use virtualization tools OpenVZ and VirtualBox, and have used UML.

My first computer experience was a Compucorp Model 155 Surveyor in 1970, when I was 13. Next was Unix on a PDP 10 using Basic. Jumping to the IBM 360 for CADAM and on up to an IBM 3090, before getting my own 486, when they first came out, running Windows 3.11, Slackware 0.96 and BSD368 and 368BSD.
