I am presenting on what's happening with Drupal in emerging markets at DrupalCon Denver.
As some of you know, I lived in India for about 6 years; a few of them developing in Drupal. I am also an Acquia employee (for the past 3 years) and now mostly work in training.

Module Suggestion for my Senior Design Student Project
Hello everyone. I'm a final year IT major and for my senior design I have decided to redesign a non-profit organization Web site using Drupal. My background is in .Net Framework but I have been playing with Drupal and I have a developed lot of interests. The non-profit organization is a chapter based organization, which has 1-3 chapters in every state and some parts of Africa, Europe and Canada. My academic adviser has approved the project BUT said that I will have to develop two custom modules. I have never develop any module before. Any suggestions/ideas will highly be appreciated.

JOB SUMMARY
This contract role consists primarily of Drupal 7 theming and site development. The selected individual will be provided design mockups by our graphic designer and asked to create Drupal themes/sub-themes based on the mockups. In addition, they will develop sites according to clearly defined specifications. The candidate should be very familiar with the Drupal core as well as common useful modules. The candidate should be adept at customizing modules and other custom site development as needed. Expected work load will be 4-6 small to medium sized sites per month.

Hey'all! When talking to Drupal references, we all heard of The White House, The Economist, MTV and such big occidental company.
I was wondering if you know some African references made with Drupal? So we could tell the world African folks are making funny stuff too :)
The biggest African reference I aware of, is the African Union.

Drupal groups em Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde?
Hello all,
I'm trying to get in touch with Drupal communities in Angola, Mozambique or Cape Verde.
As some of you know, there will be a 3rd DrupalCon sometime next year out of Europe / North America.. This one will be held in Brasil, and it would be an excellent opportunity for the Drupal communities in the Portuguese-speaking countries to meet, and to bring some of the exisiting experience in Brazil and Portugal to our African friends so that the Drupal community in these countries can thrive.

CSS & HTML | African Youth Guild
We are looking for a CSS & HTML expert to contribute to the african youth guild site (devel.ayguild.net) This is an exciting opportunity as the site hopes to become one of the largest on-line youth communities in Africa.
The basic volunteer would be willing to spend 3-4 hours a week working in between the creative and technical teams ensuring that the look and feel of the site is cool and achievable.
