I am looking for a contract developer to help with the creation of a custom secure portal. My client already has a Drupal website and we are in the planning phase of creating customer and employee portals. The portals will require authentication and then some of the portal content (documents, forms etc.) will use drupal, and some of the content will link to 3rd part sites. This term position, based in Edmonton, is intended to build, implement, document, and test a suite of applications to support the creation of a virtual media lab within Athabasca University that will be used by students and faculty. The incumbent will aid in the development of an interactive tool for researching Canadian Film as well as provide maintenance for the university's e-lab project. Lethbridge and Southern Alberta Drupal users are invited to attend the first Drupal User Group meet-up.
Come prepared to talk a little bit about your experience or interests in Drupal. We'll use this first get together as a chance to get to know each other. It will be kept pretty casual and hopefully we will get some direction for what people would like to learn about and what others are able to share.

Drupal Camp Alberta 2010 Planning
Planning is underway for the third annual Drupal Camp Alberta. We've got some big changes planned for this year, most notably a move to Calgary for this summer's event.
If you would like to be involved in planning for this year's event, let me know here and I'll make sure we include you in the process.

Freelance Drupal and graphics support needed for potential contract with a municipal government in Alberta.
Duties are likely to involved custom themes, work with user and content management, an In/Out system, visual redesign of site. There is a possibility of on-going freelance work into 2012. Please note that I am assembling a team to respond to an RFP, and I have an established line of communication to the potential client. If we have a strong team, we have a very good chance of getting it.
