MetroWest Drupal Meetup VII

dhakimzadeh - Tue, 2009-06-30 21:46
Start:
2009-07-08 18:00 - 20:00 America/New_York

If you pay attention to stuff, (and you probably do because you're reading this) you may be thinking "Hey wait, Agaric didn't host a drupal meetup in june!" and you'd be right about that, but now you know why we threw in the extra one back in february (http://groups.drupal.org/node/19220), although you probably knew that was the reason way back then, and were just waiting to see which month it was that we chose to skip...

Well, now you know, and knowing is half the battle

We are developing an innovative educational platform using Drupal (along with a few other Open Source applications) and need a technical project manager/senior developer to continue to drive the expansion of our business. This role bridges the gap from customer requirements over specification development and project management to actual implementation. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced start-up and go beyond simply creating web-sites and really push the limits of using web-technologies for a SaaS offering.

This time around, we'd like to hire a technical person and teach him or her to be a Web journalist. Are you a Drupal programmer with a knack for creating cool applications and/or content? A Flash animator who also happens to have a great blog? An interactive jack-of-all-trades just waiting for the perfect job opportunity? If so, we want to hear from you.

Hello, I've touched base with Eric (rapidsynergy)--from his earlier post regarding a meetup and we're both interested in setting something up. I've offered to host the meeting where I work, at the CPTV/WNPR Studios in Hartford. We don't have a date set yet, but we're hoping either for the end of this month (April) or beginning of next--some weeknight/evening (after work).

Drupal User Group?

rapidsynergy - Mon, 2008-03-10 14:32

Greetings CT Drupalers,

There doesn't seem to be a tremendous amount of activity within this group just yet. How successful have we been at getting a Drupal User Group started here in Connecticut? I am located in Middlebury and run my own web development business. I have been using Drupal for a little over a year now on various projects. I actually just got back from an exciting DrupalCon in Boston and am interested in helping build momentum for Drupal in Connecticut.

Please contact me if there is interest!

Regards,
Eric

Hi! My name is Jeff Newman and I am a Senior Recruiter with Taylor Grey. I apologize if this hits multiple times, I tried to join the groups where people would find it the most helpful. My client is an interactive agency looking for a Drupal Expert and a second position for a Drupal/PHP expert. They prefer temp to perm, but would consider long term contract or straight permanent. The salary/hourly is based upon experience and salary history. It is located in the 20’s and Broadway in NYC.

Pretty Much:

  • Extensive Drupal experience
  • Extensive OOP PHP
  • AJAX/XML

Hey everyone,
I saw groups for lots of other states here and figured, why not Connecticut? My colleagues and I use Drupal daily for our regular jobs, and a few of us decided to form a little board game e-company on the side. Our tech guy is a whiz at modifying modules and blocks. It's pretty amazing what he's done already with the site.

Board Games (We're not 100% on the name yet, but we're thinking Borgamo. Any suggestions?)
Cheers,
Brian
