The Building Materials Reuse Association is seeking contract assistance for two items on our drupal website, www.bmra.org.
- We are seeking a developer to assist in creating an online calculator of lifecycle emissions associated with various uses for wood waste. This calculator will draw on our existing database of emissions values, and must be robust enough to widely usable by the general public. Additional details will be made available upon response.
Developer - web-based database architecture | UNEP/CMS (Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals)
Project: Harmonize databases, convert existing databases to new standards, and provide services and training as needed for the maintenance and updating of these databases.
This is an initial tender for the development of a new web-based database architecture for the CMS Family Secretariats (starting with CMS including its out posted office in Abu Dhabi, AEWA, ASCOBANS, EUROBATS, and Gorilla Agreement).

Dalia Association (www.dalia.ps) is a small nonprofit in Palestine that promotes community-led development and rights. Dalia has a Drupal website in English, Arabic and Spanish and a very small staff with almost no tech skills. We need a bilingual (English-Arabic) webmaster who knows Drupal and CiviCRM to do a major content upgrade, post new content monthly, maintain all aspects of the site, and send a newsletter out every 6-8 weeks. The person can live anywhere in the world but must be proficient in English and Arabic.

Downtown LA Drupal meetup, Holiday Party and Food Drive on December 16, 2011 at Droplabs
Due to the holidays, the next Downtown LA Drupal meetup in December has been rescheduled to be on Friday, December 16, 2011. We're being hosted again by Droplabs, an event and coworking space in Downtown Los Angeles created by LA Drupal members for LA Drupal community. This time we're combining our meetup with a holiday party and food drive. You're invited!
LA Drupal meetups follow a basic format and start off with Drupal news and announcements, local job announcements, raffle prizes and presentations. We're forgoing full-length presentations this time and will be opening the floor to 5-10 minute-long presentations known as lightning talks. As always, we'll have our community Q&A, during which time anyone in attendance can ask questions and divine answers from the crowd.
Light food and refreshments will be served throughout the evening courtesy of our food and drink sponsor, Exaltation of Larks, and we'll finish off the night with more networking and a Drupal After Dark at 9:30pm.
