Thanks to all who brought themselves, drinks, snacks, and their Drupal Knowledge. The quarterly Indy Drupal HackFest hit #5 yesterday with a bang! 24 people showed up to share what they know and learn what they don't know. Drupal Indy HACKFEST
The Drupal Indy group is putting on another Drupal Hackfest!
A Drupal Hackfest is an open gathering for Drupal users to bring their Drupal questions, problems, and projects. They are great for both Newbies & Ninjas!
This time it will be bigger and longer!
Uber Weekend
What to do when it seems like there's no end to the work week? DDR of course! The ubercart developers at Prima LLC are hosting a mini-retreat in the 'Ville this weekend. Andy has been gracious enough to open his house to a bunch of raucous DDR playing this Friday night, May 15th. If you are able to join us in lovely Louisville KY this weekend, you should! If not, you should heckle anyway.

If you are headed to Drupalcon DC, post your contact info here! I would like to connect with as many Nashville/Tennessee/Kentucky/Alabama people as possible while in DC! Maybe we can all get together and have lunch or dinner together?

Group events for 2009?
I'd love to see us organize some sort of Kentuckiana meet-up in the near future, even if that means June. ; )
Anyone that's planning on going to Drupalcon DC should sound off in this discussion so we can get together and brainstorm while we're there. Team Ubercart will be planning to reserve a restaurant for anyone who wants to join us for some Ethiopian while we're in DC.
Kentuckiana Drupal Directory
The directory is editable by anyone in the Kentuckiana group and should be used to contain links to local Drupal user personal sites, projects, and businesses. Let's get the word out... Drupal should feel right at home in this river city.
Louisville Drupal Companies
I am planning to graduate from UofL this semester and am looking around for a full time job. Does anyone know of any companies that do Drupal work in or around Louisville that might be hiring?
Thanks,
Mike Valentine

Ubercamp 1.0
Announcing the most fun you haven't had yet this summer! The event is still in the planning stages, but we're keen on setting up an Ubercamp for the weekend of July 25-27. We know it's short notice - only 2.2 weeks away - but we're going to do our best to make it happen, make it fun, and make it fruitful.
Ubercart Screaming Forward, Looking for Help : )
Well, I haven't paid much attention to this group for some time now. It looks like the last post was about Ubercart's initial beta release, and now we're well beyond a 1.0 release and into Drupal 6 migration. Anyone interested in the development roadmap for D6 and beyond should check out this thread on our forums.
Ubercart 1.0 Beta 1 Released
Just posting a quick note to applicable groups regarding the initial beta release of Ubercart. The code has come a looong way from our first alpha, and we're quite happy with the community involvement and state of the code.
You can view the longer news post about the release here.
There are always improvements to be made and issues to revisit. The current thread for tracking our beta emphases can be viewed here.
Initial Ubercart Release
Well, after many hours of development, experimentation, API referencing, and good ol' fashioned beating our heads against our desks, we have finally got an initial release of the Übercart module package available for download. This is being considered an alpha release, with the official 1.0 release being many development hours away as we build on and flesh out some of the core systems. However, the module package as it stands is able to run e-commerce sites and is already being used in live sites. Everyone is welcome to showcase their Übercart site in our forums!
Employment?
Hi all - I'm looking for a good PHP programmer in Louisville that would like a full time job, working frequently with Drupal. Any one interested, or know anyone?
Swimming in the Talent Pool
Avast! We're not crusading to cart off with Drupal Ninjas, but we're happy to pillage the general talent pool to find someone interested in jumping into ours. The skinny? Right now we're looking for any Drupal developers in the area (Louisville, KY) who would be interested in hopping into our talent pool. We keep the water warm and the rum handy, and if you play nice we give out gold doubloons for Christmas!
Welcome aboard, mateys!
I'm Captain Scarvye, Captain of this here ship the Blue Wombat. We hail from Louisville, KY and make the waters of the Ohio River the toughest place to run an honest gold smuggling business. In my spare time, I work for a company in Louisville that is (naturally) designing Drupal modules and websites! I've always got me First Mate Hobbles up in the crow's nest lookin' out for any Drupal lubbin' landlubbers in the area, so give us a shout if you happen to see us.
