Minnesota
To help develop a comunity of drupal employers, workers and job seekers. I saw no group that existed, to help people who live in Minnesota. So I create this group, to help add to our support and help grow Drupal within Minnesota.
Thank You.
Grants and Programs for Participation in Drupal/Open Source
A few nights ago, I listened to the mp3 from this Drupalchix panel at the DrupalCamp LA. (And many congrats to the organizers Rain Breaw and Nicole Bluto for their smart leadership!) http://2009.drupalcampla.com/drupalchix (see also, http://groups.drupal.org/node/23188)
One of the speaker/facilitators (Rain, I believe) talks about the film industry and how grants are available to support and encourage aspiring women directors. I definitely know a number of women who were able to develop their own visions and voices with the support of various arts grants.

Web Design Workshop (including Drupal!) in Minneapolis for designers, writers, editors, project managers & other creatives
I'm hosting a one day workshop and seminar in Minneapolis about the things you should know before you design your first website: it's geared towards people who are somehow involved in the process of creating a website.
If you're a designer, writer, editor, project manager or like-minded creative, you'll learn about the parameters that HTML provides to you; what the content management system Drupal can do for you and your clients; and simple, simple project management for web projects using Basecamp. Registration is online and there is an early bird fee if you register before 9/1.
St Cloud/Central MN Drupal Meetup
Hi Everybody,
I was hoping to have a meetup sometime over the summer in the St Cloud area. I know a few people using Drupal, but it would be cool to meet and share stories and strategies.
Post to this discussion if you are interested and we can figure something out.

In 1 week, Drupal Camp Chicago
I am really excited to be going to the Drupal Camp Chicago.
I would love to meet any of my fellow drupaler's out there..
And thank you all for joining this group.
We really should work on creating a bigger presence in Minnesota via Drupal..
What projects/sites you all working on?
Out in the sticks; Where is everyone?
Hey Minnesota Drupalers, just wondering where people are at? Maybe we can schedule some meetups, etc.
I am currently working based out of my home near Glenwood, south of Alexandria. I frequent the Fargo/Moorhead area (colleagues, great web professional & technology scene), as well as St. Cloud, Buffalo (family), and I even get down into the cities now & then. I love heading up to northern MN too, and would love to meet some web geeks from that part of the state! Duluth Drupalers, are you out there??? Bemidji? Iron Range? Detroit Lakes? I-Falls? Represent!
Why I created this group.
Well at this point in my life, I am unemployed, but working on my own private mmorpg server, that will be using drupal.
But before this, I was a coldfusion programmer for about 6-7 years. I have always been more interested in improving performance and scalability/performance than merely being a coder.
I have always had a passion for programming, but especially in dealing with databases or servers, to make applications, really as scalable as possible.
