It's that time of the month again. Time for our gathering of the Boise Drupal user group.
We need to decide what we'd like to discuss for this meeting. We have a list from last February of some of the topics and haven't covered all of them. We also have some new and evolving things to talk about like the latest and greatest Drupal 7 happenings.
We also have a few scheduling issues in the near-term. First for this month there is a conflict and we can either meet in the restaurant portion of Fuddruckers or meet in another location. In the restaurant area we won't really have space for a screen but can talk. Depending on how many folks are coming we can also make it a family meeting and have everyone bring families. Or we can meet in another location.
One topic we should cover next week is the meetings for the next couple of months. November's meeting falls on the eve of Thanksgiving which may be a tough time for many folks. In December we're scheduled for the 29th which is a little further from the holiday but we might want to figure out sooner than later if we need to move that meeting as well.

October 2010 Drupal Group Meeting
Do we have the regular meeting room for this month or is the problem with this month's meeting next week? If the problem is with the meeting next week, how about the other Fuddruckers?
As to Thanksgiving, I would propose moving the meeting up a week. There are just too many conflicts with Thanksgiving in people plans plus the Boise School District is closed up for that entire week which leads to people leaving town. Another User group I belong to has already moved its meeting up a week.
As to December, no night in December is better than others and the 29th is probably one of the best nights to have it since it is after Christmas and before New Years.
As for topic, I attended a Drupal BOF at the Utah Open Source Conference, where the presenter showed off his Drupal make file and its associated profile for automating the building of Drupal websites including modules that are not in the base install. I have his files and would be willing to present on that subject. Would make it even more interesting if I could get those Drupal CodeCamp profiles we have discussed in the past.

It's likely both Fuddruckers
It's likely both Fuddruckers are pretty full with banquets this month. If we want to meet elsewhere something like Rembrandt's or Seasons is likely a little more central.
Moving forward a week in November is certainly an option. I won't be able to be present but that shouldn't be a deciding factor.

October 2010 Drupal Group Meeting
I take it from what has been written here that right now, the only space we have for sure is in the main eating area at the usual Fuddruckers on Eagle Rd. If we do meet, all we can do is visit among ourselves, no presentation space. I find it curious that there is that much demand for banquet space in October. Have we called the other Fuddruckers to be sure (not that I am tied to Fuddruckers), I took my wife there last week in the evening and the place was almost empty.
