Drupal Camp Experience
Has anyone contacted Mark Friedman, organizer of the CT camp? Going into this meeting, it might be helpful to get his input as to what he did and areas he might change. I'd be happy to talk with him.

I was going to go down to the last CT Meetup but it was cancelled. I agree it would be good get his take on things. I also asked winston, who organizes NYC stuff and also helped with the CT meetup. His advice,
"Biggest advice is find a nice venue. Colleges work really well
especially if they are using Drupal.
"Second biggest advice is keep it simple."
Can't come
Unfortunately, I have a conflict and can't attend the meeting on the 17th. I have much of the space confirmed for the camp -- still waiting on a few parts. I suggest that before the meeting, several people come get a tour of the entire space so we can plan intelligently how to use it most effectively. How about Friday (Nov 12) in the afternoon? I could take an hour at almost any point to provide a walkthrough for anyone who's interested.

As I mentioned in the other thread, he's one of the main DrupalCon organizers and a Drupal Association board member.
He can't come to our meeting since he's based in SF and not coming out this way until Jan, but he shared with me some really sage advice (I feel) and a good way to get started planning this thing:
