2008-04-14 18:30 ESTAudiocollective and I discussed the long overdue Jackson Meetup, and decided there's no time like the present to get the group going again. So on Monday April 14th, we are going to meet at the Hunt Club in Jackson. Come join us, share your experiences, ideas, and news on Drupal, or just geek stuff in general.

I will be there
I am starting work on a couple free non-profit Jackson sites. I would like a little discussion on ideas and features that would be useful.
I am going to start working on Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Jackson/Hillsdale, and probably the Hot Air Jubilee site (they need some help)

That is great to see drupal being used more in Jackson! also, i hope you were kidding about the Hot Air Jubilee site... they canceled it this year :-(

No wasn't kidding, I meant
No wasn't kidding, I meant in light of the cancellation, I suggested an improved site could help with organization, and using drupal to sell sponsorships, rides, tickets, and merchandise would help financially. Plus using drupal to organize and sign up volunteers and any other modules/uses that will work well. Images/videos the sky is the limit.
A reorganization of the website along with the event at the same time will go a long way.

That is actually a good idea. It is the perfect time for them to do something like that. I always loved going to the event. The lack of a web presence for many Jackson organizations amazes me. I don't think they know what they can do online and many of the web companies in Jackson have on interest in giving them control of their sites... Hopefully that will change soon.
