Hi everyone :)
Great to see some new interest in building a Drupal-native CRM.
Have you seen the work that was done at DC Copenhagen on an API spec? You can find it in this group: http://groups.drupal.org/crm-api
I look forward to finding out more about the project!

Haven't been following that
Haven't been following that group. I think that there are a lot of commonalities. Thanks for the ping.
I think that what we're trying to do with RedHen is a bit different, in that we do want to create a lightweight stand-alone CRM within Drupal first and foremost. Early integrations with other CRM platforms via APIs is key (in no small part, key to us developing a tool that can be used on production applications and for paid client work), but it's not our primary goal.
It's exciting to engage with a wider development community on Drupal CRM efforts. The cross-pollination is exciting. At the same time, we're sorta taking a more direct, "get out there and write code first" approach. We'll probably end up rewriting the whole application a couple of times. But rolling up our sleeves is sorta how we roll.
Over the next few weeks we'll be further developing our outreach and community engagement strategy. Soon after we hope to have the project in the place to engage other developers in the code.
Cheers,
Sean Larkin

Ah, that group is badly
Ah, that group is badly titled -- it's not about an API for other CRM platform, but building the component pieces that can together make a Drupal-based CRM. So for instance Profile2 was one of the basic components.
Look at http://groups.drupal.org/node/89779 and http://groups.drupal.org/node/90929 for more details.
