Drupal Atlanta - updates...
All,
I wanted to update everyone with a few general announcements:
-
DrupalAtlanta.com Website Redesign - We had a meeting last week to finalize the objectives of the site, technial requirements, and are about to start on the graphic design portion. There is still time to volunteer if you are a desginer who has experience in theming Drupal sites to get involved. Serious props go out to Barb Prebble for all her due dilligence so far!
-
September Meeting - The Sept. 16th meet-up at 7pm in Alpharetta should be really exciting. Jeff Diecks, Direcotor of Operations for Turner Sports New Media and Paul Chason with Mediacurrent, will be giving a case study type presentation on the NASCAR local racing series division site (http://localracing.nascar.com) that was developed in Drupal. Stay tuned for more details...full meeting announcement coming soon.
-
Wanted: Speaker to talk about theming in Drupal - We had to rearrange the October schedule, and would like to find someone who is advanced in theming Drupal sites to speak at the October 21st meet-up. This topic has been in high demand - if you have the desire, availability, and know-how please get in touch.
-
Drupalcamp in Atlanta? - There have been some very preliminary discussions about organizaing a Drupalcamp in Atlanta this Spring after a local university has volunteered their resources. If you have event planning experience or would like to volunteer to help put something like this on we would love to hear from you.
Thanks, Dave
