The inaugural Drupalcamp Atlanta is now open for registration, and will be held on Saturday, September 19th from 9am – 5pm on the beautiful campus of Kennesaw State University. Our mission and purpose is twofold: (1.) we want to educate people about Drupal and (2.) further evangelize Drupal within our geographic region.

We are a small Web design/dev shop in need of a Drupal developer. We are totally awesome, so we consider that a perk. Seriously, we love what we do, and we hope you do too!

An hourly rate will be based on your experience and the value you bring to the table. We would love to see the following:

I wanted to keep all ADUG members in the loop on our recent planning meeting that was held last week to primarily discuss organizational issues as we embark on 2009. Barb Prebble, Kent Lester, Mal Richards, Richard van Slyke, and myself have agreed to be the primary organizers. We tried to divide and conquer roles and responsibilities as much as we could and are in the process of firming up a long-term venue.

Mediacurrent is an Atlanta headquartered interactive firm with a specialization in Drupal. We are seeking a highly competent Drupal developer to join our entrepreneurial driven company.

REQUIREMENTS:
• 2+ years of cross platform web development experience
• Hands on coding experience with PHP, HTML, XHTML, Javascript (CSS a plus)

There will be a Drupal meet-up at Manuel's Tavern at 7pm on Tuesday, October 14th. The agenda is to divide and conquer various Drupal topics via small groups and breakout sessions - bring any of those lingering questions you might have about Drupal with you. The range of attendees varies from beginners to experienced developers.

• DrupalAtlanta.com Website Redesign - We had a meeting last week to finalize the objectives of the site, technial requirements, and are about to start on the graphic design portion. There is still time to volunteer if you are a desginer who has experience in theming Drupal sites to get involved. Serious props go out to Barb Prebble for all her due dilligence so far!
