Objectives

Set-up Scotland Drupal site

To allow people to learn from each other

First thing is for all of us to communicate

Have blog available for each person so people can post interesting things with comments

Have forum to allow folk to get in touch with others and post interesting things. For instance "I have an idea for a module can someone else help?"

Social networking should be facilitated

Need marketplace for jobs in Scotland

Have a better profile page that allows people to say what they have done

Jacob, Keith, Duvien, Andy volunteered some time towards setting this up.

Need to split into groups about this. Duvien is a themer, Keith is a programmer

Need meeting group to meet and demo sites and tell others how they did things.

Management of the group was discussed and it was suggested three or so “admins” could ensure the group keeps to objectives, is inclusive and represents the community.

Rob to check out Edinburgh University meeting facility.

Alan to check out Napier University meeting facility

Next meeting in a month. Meetings early in the week were mentioned by a few folk to be better although one person said they were willing to meet up at weekends.

Thanks for everyone that turned up to the meeting last night. I think we had quite a productive time brainstorming for a Scottish Drupal site and generally getting to know each other.

For next meeting, we hope to discuss about the planning of the site and perhaps form groups for people to work on the different aspect of the site.
