September meeting

Hi All - the September meeting for the TC Drupal group is next Wednesday, September 24th at 7PM. We were going to talk about search modules. However, Matt is not going to be able to make it to the meeting. So - we are currently presenter-less.

Suggestions anyone?? One of my thoughts is to have a quick Drupalcon update by those who went (or heard about) Drupalcon Szeged. We could then follow up with the question and answer session we had scheduled for last month.

What are your thoughts/ideas? Any ideas that we don't do this month can always go into the hat for presentations for the next few months - so the more ideas, the better!

There is parking behind the building and on the street.

We generally meet the 4th Wednesday of every month at 7 PM.

Come with any questions you might have about Drupal - I am sure you will find some great help!

As it is, the Universe has me heading the other direction on I-94, to Fargo. Thanks to this wonderful inter-nets thing, tho, I look forward to keeping in touch with all the TC and MN drupalers!

Wish me good fortunes spreading Drupal fever in the Red River Valley!

ApacheSolr Search

Uh, this is pretty last minute, but I suppose I could do an impromptu demo and overview of our ethicshare.org project, which makes use of Robert Douglases newish ApacheSolr project.

We just put the theme into place earlier this week (still in progress), and I'd been waiting to show off the project locally until that happened.

Q&A or Show & Tell?

As I understand it, we had a Show & Tell meeting last month, and this one is a Q&A. As in, "how do I do X?", or "What module is good for Y?". Alternatively, folks can demo stuff they've been working on.

I think it might be best if we went one way or the other, so people know in advance whether they should be armed with questions or demo's. Perhaps whichever route we don't go can make next months topic?

I'll be there tonight and can present or just sit back and listen/help with questions as best I can. Either way is fine with me - I only offered b/c of the announcement made regarding the lost search modules speaker. I'd be happy to do an ethicshare.org and/or Solr overview another time if folks are interested as well.

Groups.drupal.org is a part of the drupal.org group of sites. Logging in on this site requires an account on the main drupal.org site. If you do not have an account on drupal.org, you will need to create one, log in over there, and then come back here where you should automatically be logged in.
