Toss the Drupal dev for Special Olympics

Thousands of children and adults in the United States live with intellectual disabilities. These individuals often find themselves marginalized in their communities, schools, and sometimes even their own families. Special Olympics works to improve the lives of people with intellectual disabilities through year-round sports training and athletic competition and to create a better world by fostering the acceptance and inclusion of all people.

This year I am participating in the Over the Edge fundraiser for Special Olympics Washington, and I would like your support to reach my fundraising goal of $1,000 by July 29th. If I meet this goal, I will rappel from the roof of the 41-story Rainier Tower in downtown Seattle along with dozens of other fundraisers. If I exceed this goal -- by even just $1 -- I will wear zebra-striped spandex for the event.

By donating, you will also be entitled to use one of these catchy phrases in your e-mail signature:

  • I sent Shannon to the end of his rope.
  • I made Shannon take the fall.
  • I knocked Shannon off his ivory tower.
  • I contributed to Shannon's downfall.
  • I sent Shannon over the edge.
  • I was part of Shannon's descent.

Donations can be made through my event page on FirstGiving:

Special Olympics Washington is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and all donations are tax deductible.

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
