Possibly inappropriate job ad (maybe illegal in some countries?)
I just noticed (while being subscribed to the jobs tag) that the following node appear in the feed...

The ad in question reads very much like they want a female programmer which under the circumstances of the role could be deemed "fair enough".... However (I believe this is true at least for the UK) you are not allowed to advertise jobs this way. Hypothetically if I, as a male, were to apply for the job and be turned down I could then take up legal challenge that it was because I am male and not female - ie, sex desxrimination.
I understand the ad is 3rd party and that it isn't OUTRIGHTLY saying "female only"... but it is quite blatantly implying it.
I dont personally want the job and I'm not really even offended by it, however with a choice of:
- ignoring it and seeing some kind of action against GDO for associating with sex discriminatory ads
- posting it and being told "its ok" or even just being ignored
I'd rather go for option 2 to at least feel like I'd done my bit ;-)

In the UK at least you are allowed to specify gender if it's absolutely essential to the role - say for a shelter or something. It's extremely unlikely that working on a website falls into this category though.

That job ad is for a programmer. There is no way your gender is absolutely essential for that role.
So you prefer to just let
So you prefer to just let the ad stay but you feel compelled for nearly everyone in this group to get notified about it (thats what happens when you post).
I am not taking the ad down because I am not a lawyer. I will not live in fear of hypothetical legal issues. If we get a letter demanding us to take it down, then we can discuss what to do.
No reason to take this down
The ad clearly states that the site is for women -- it makes sense that they would want a female team lead.
As Moshe says, it doesn't make sense to live in fear of hypothetical legal issues.
