i am getting this problem all the time...

"The source affiliate must be selected as a publishing option."

I am also getting this message:

"You have followed an incorrect link to this website. Please update your links and bookmarks to http://www.mydomain.name/?q=admin/settings/site-information.

I have a drup6.4.... brand new... no other modules running just DA

I have several subdomains set up... and I can get to them with the switcher or just typing in the url.

but I have some problems..

1... I can either share the node across all of the domains.. or non of the domains. That is not what I am trying to do. I want to share some domains, and selectively show other nodes based on a domain.

2... here is an interesting problem. I am in my main domain. I create a node. I select the subdomain that I want to publish to. I have to select the same as the source domain or I get the message: "The source affiliate must be selected as a publishing option."
and I do not want to send it to all affiliates.
THis will work, but the node is published to all domains again.. not just the selected domains.

perhaps I dont have paths setup properly?

could someone give me a hint please

It is possible that you have misconfigured or misunderstood something. It is also possible that your server is nor configured correctly.

It also sounds like you turned on all the submodules without reading the instructions. If you enabled Domain Strict, turn it off.

Also understand that users with 'administer nodes' can always see all content.
