Approving translations are really time consuming. I know for a fact that some translators in my group know what they're doing. It would be great if I could approve all suggestions from a particular user.

Why don't you instead give these translators the permission to approve their own suggestions?

I think you should need an editor to support you. He/she will check first and pass okay translation draft for you to approve.

I recently did something like that: approve all suggestions from a known translator. What I did is write a small JS to select the suggestions, and submit the form. I approved something like 500 suggestions in less than 5 minutes (time to write the JS included).

I didn't keep that
I didn't keep that bookmarklet, as once it's done, I never used it again. Try to write it yourself. Use jQuery to click on the radios and submit the form, I promise that it'd be easy. You can code directly in the Debug console of the navigator, too.
