How do I change the length of a node teaser in a mini panel. I have created the teaser by checking the teaser option under the "configure node content" screen, but I need to change the length of the teaser.
Thanks for any suggestions.

This is not handled by Panels - this is basic Drupal
Generating teasers, their length, and how they're stored in the node all happen before Panels comes into play.
In Drupal (5 at least) you set the teaser length globally on this page: admin/content/node-settings and that applies to all nodes.
In any given node, you can manually insert a tag anywhere in the node body and Drupal will end the teaser there.
Hope this helps!
thanks & 6.x
Finally ! Thanks laken. :)
An update for Drupal 6.x : it's now called and found in
/admin/content/node-settingsTeaser length
Thanks, laken, for your advice on the above. Much appreciated

Alaken,
That sounds good. Once we get a little more put together I would love to get your input.
change length of teaser
There is a big demand and value I think in being able to customize teaser length depending on presentation, e.g. different teasers for a particular node depending on whether it is presented by a particular View, Panel or RSS feed, etc. I have to figure out where to post this request for core or how to write a module to free up the teasers like that. But even if it is something that is currently managed in core, we want it configured in Panels and Views etc. so I think we have to work on it from both ends, no?
