My least favorite thing about groups.drupal.org are the job postings. I can't find any way to remove or prevent this. This would be a really nice addition. I can't imagine this is a major change to add considering jobs are a content type.

Specifically, I'd like to stop receiving this kind of notifications which can be quite frequent in some groups I am in.
You can do this
Go to http://groups.drupal.org/user/%uid/notifications/subscriptions (where %uid is your user id) and then look through this list for the job postings for each group you're subscribed to. You can then delete subscriptions for just the jobs.
