Join us for our first meetup in a while! Geoff Palin will be presenting the following:

"Some may know very well the benefits of using a powerful CMS like Drupal to build community driven websites, along with that comes the challenges of using the right modules, creating a user friendly workflow and incorporating it all into a great design. In my presentation titled Building Community and Membership Driven Websites using Drupal we will look at some do's and dont's for building these types of websites as well as take a tour through a live multi-site community website with over 1000+ members.

Some topics I will cover include,

  • Multi-site installation
  • Sharing users
  • Paid memberships (e-commerce vs. ubercart)
  • Hosting environments
  • Efficient workflows
  • Multi-media for communities
    +More

Some may know the power of Drupal, but together we all know we create the communities and the code that makes Drupal so great. I urge anyone interested in learning more about the above topics or contributing their own insight to the presentation to come along, learn and enjoy."

It would be amazing if you guys could post these earlier than the day before. I live in Windsor and would totally make the trip up for a meeting of this caliber had there been earlier notice.

Anyway, hope the meet up goes great. Any chance of the presentation slides ending up online?

hey, maybe i came in late but i arrived there at 7 30, suit 120 is competely dead. I also headed to the 4 floor no sign of drupal :S
