As we talked about during the last DUG meeting we'd like to find a place to be able to consistently schedule our meetings at - one that is in a central location, and preferably with wifi, a private room, and decent/well-priced food.
After a little looking around I found the Hoppy Brewing Company which is in East Sacramento and has a private room, wifi, and will let us reserve it regularly. The only potential downside is that we can't reserve it for third-Thursdays because another group has already done that. I asked about regular Wednesdays at 6:30-9:00 and they said that would work, and there could possibly be other days that might work for them if it becomes a conflict for multiple people.
So this month the best possibilities at the moment seem to be:
- Meet at Hoppy Brewing Company and give a try on Wednesday 1/14/09
- Meet at River City again on Thursday 1/15/09
For the purposes of this January meet I'd like to try and limit the discussion of other places and/or dates to:
- Specific places that people know about (and what makes them a good place for the meetings), and know for sure that we can get the place on either one of those two dates (the 14th or 15th)
- For any broader-reaching ideas and/or discussions, lets have those either at the meeting itself or next month, here
