CiviNode CiviNodeCCK

Hello
1. I am looking for a way to integrate civiContribute donations page as Drupal6 node. I found civiNode and civiNodeCCK but this module has not been updated for Drupal6. (It seems its development was paid for by good old Green Party of Canada.) Any suggestions?

  1. I use CanadaHelp for donation processing and they are great. The best is their tax receipts. However they seem to have no intention to integrate with civiCRM. Tax receipt seems to be a simple problem. Revenue Canada only requires that each receipt has a unique number. There are other info such as charity no, donation amount and date, donor name and address, these are all in the system. Only thing new is the tax receipt number. Surely there is a way to populate the receipt number at the time of issue and the job is done. Any insight for a non-techy will be appreciated.

If you just need to create

If you just need to create tax receipts, the easiest way at the moment would be to just export the data to a CSV file and then create your receipts in Open Office or Word.

The Views integration coming in 2.2 looks quite promising (you can try out the alpha version). This is in all likelihood the way of the future for simple reporting like this. This also means that there is little use for CiviNode so I would foresee little work being put into its further development.

civinode, tax reciepts

Yes, I think civinode is not the solution anyway, since it's creating nodes from contacts.

CiviContribute is already creating its own internal number, so you can use that for the reciept (perhaps prefixed with something to make it clear that it's being generated from civiCRM and won't conflict with any manual ones you're creating separately). If you want to use a custom field, then you'll probably need to do some custom programming until custom fields can be set up as auto-incrementers.

Alternatively, you could add a manual step in where an administrator assigns the charitable tax reciept.
