News
• We had 9 people come along today! We went through some introductions
○ James Abrahams:- Non-programmer working with Rob and
○ Rob: - Works with
○ Ruth:- Also does some work with churches
○ Peter O (that0n3guy): - From the US does a bit of coding and got into CRM because has a bunch of clients who are interested.
○ Joachim:- Based in edinburg, working on the party sandbox with rob
○ David Spencer (pomaking):- From US, based in Vienna, not a programmer but working on membership management stuff for home owner associations.
○ Randy Kolenko (Mapleleaf):- From canada and spoke to David. Worked on Meastro Module and works for Nextide
○ Glenn - based just outside Bristol. IT Manager for small agency providing PR, design and web. Think "integrated marketing" is oneof the taglines. I'm from New Zealand, have been living in the UK for 17 years.
○ David Connerth:- Focusing on CRM for business to business and working on the party project
○ Allie Micka - Been trying to implement stuff for a while and a big proponent on interoperability. Interested on working on the different projects.
• Talked a bit about Bandcamp that allie attended
○ Met with ThinkShout who are doing Redhen and they are planning to work on CRM on January
• Allie Micka: focusing on donations and a payment api and community funding tools.
• Rob and Joachim (Party people): - Talked about hats, ability for people to change hats over time. Each hat gives them different information attached to them so that the information attached to a party can evolve over time.
• Joachim:- wants to get things to integrate with Drupal Commerce over the next month. Still having issues with relationships and views.
• Party has a user! Shonk. Moving a client Outlook contacts to an online solution.
• Randy is interested in how CRM and workflow can fit together.
• David Spencer (pomaking) has been looking at the "CRM Idle competition" http://www.crmidol.com. Talked about how this will be useful to put on the groups.
• We talked about Sales workflows and Customer services workflows being a bit gap in CRM systems out there. (Apart from Saleforce)
• That0n3guy: Capsol: Apparantly do something called "Trails" - Allows you to create auto created tasks
• That0n3guy: Bought up the issue of money. Thinks he may have some companies that might want to put money into a CRM pot. We discussed the complications of the fact there are multiple different projects going and where is best to put the money. Recommended that maybe he brings this up on the groups. So far the majority of people are doing this for free in their free time.
• CitizenKane: Is preparing for a major release but dealing with a few minor issues. Had to do a major refactor.
