Office hours

Immediately following the IRC meeting, we will kick off holding weekly office hours in IRC for two hours! The main goal of office hours is to help mentor and empower new contributors to become regular Media contributors.

Should I attend? If any of the following apply to you, then you should absolutely attend:

You're looking to get involved, but don't know where to start.
You need help understanding the process of Media development.
You have questions about the initiative goals or any outstanding issues.
You want to meet/co-work with others working on Media issues.
You have a patch that you need reviewed.
Don't get caught too up in the details of the process, or be afraid to jump in. We all have to start somewhere, and not too long ago, I was in the same place as many of you lurkers. I'm happy to help with any of these things, and want to see you succeed!

+1 on sign-ups - really helpful reminder with all the meetings going on everywhere...will be great once the meeting date/time gets regularized leading up to Drupalcon Denver - may also help make the sprint more effective there...

We are in the timezone of GMT + 5.30 so the time would be 1:30AM, its hard to make it and can you somehow adjust the time to like 9:00AM EDT?

We're locked in at least for the first meeting. The unfortunate fact is that no matter what time is picked someone is going to be inconvenienced. I also have to plan this around my own work schedule and also ensure that most of the current maintainers of the Media module can attend. After we have the first meeting we can look into a change of time if it benefits those that want to "attend."

That said we are trying to include everyone possible. If you can't make it next Thursday that doesn't mean you can't pop into #drupal-media, ask some questions, help in the issue queues, etc. I'm generally online in IRC from 8:30 AM to 10:00 PM CDT. I'll also be sure to be updating this post with a log of the IRC conversation of the meeting, but not the office hours.

@Dave, yep, its better if you can post what you have discussed and I really like to help on Media issues queue and dive in to Media stuff much more that I do currently.
