DrupalCamp Campinas is coming!!!
Morning folks!
In two weeks we will have DrupalCamp Campinas, the first DrupalCamp in South America ever!! :)
I'm writing to invite you colegas latino americanos to join our event ;)
There are pretty cheap flights to São Paulo City and Campinas from all over SA, so if you are available in the date or willing to attend please comment and we'll try to make it happen. ;)

Yeah, although there many smaller meetings organized in Brazil at least (check http://drupal-br.org if you want to find more about them). There have been many DrupalCamps in North America so I guess they were the first. :)
It does not matter who was
It does not matter who was first, what really matters is that this year we are gonna to have 3 Drupalcamps in South America! (just 1 left in Perú), then will be time to talk seriously about a DrupalCon :)

We are all delivering what we voted on in DrupalCon DC in March
In Washington DC we all met together and voted to have three Drupal Camps in South America, one in Brazil, one in Argentina, one in Peru. And to move forward in 2010 to a DrupalCon in South America. See http://groups.drupal.org/node/19816
And we are delivering, there was the Brazilian Drupal Camp (http://groups.drupal.org/node/21683), the Buenos Aires Drupal Camp (http://groups.drupal.org/node/24245) and now we are looking forward to the one in Peru.
And yes, there was another Camp earlier on in Central America. So we are on a roll: more power to us all!

Actually, the DrupalCamp CentralAmerica was in the very same day from DrupalCamp Campinas :P
BTW, we are planning to have another DrupalCamp here in Brazil after the DrupalCon Paris, what is the schedule from you guys? Any other Camps planned?
