New Site
I just rebuilt my site as a source/center for us in the CSRA to be able to contribute news, content, and software for those drupalers in our area.
http://maxeydevbox.org would be the site.
It's just something that i figured we could use as an extra supplement alongside of the drupal groups site.
I still have a couple of things to work out and build but, i think it would be cool to have an extra-central site specific to what we might want to project.
As of right now, as I'm posting this there's not much content (well, none) but, i think we can all work together and build a great source for those around the CSRA.

Its a neat idea I just have 1 question.
Why an additional site? I mean the group on g.d.o is a much more watched area and makes for less jumping around.

to keep it local and more
well, i figured that it could be an extra representation of our efforts within the local area. Our own local based "drupal.org" so to speak. There are many out there that aren't familiar with the full structure of the groups.drupal.org or even drupal.org way. On top of that i wanted to provide an extra source in which we could all communicate and share info about what we're doing as a local community of drupalers.
Some people prefer a local source where they know the people that they're connecting with.
Also, the site would allow us to provide another source of contributions to the drupal community without having to go through the full process of achieving a CVS account from drupal. On top of that we could provide assistance to those in our area that would aspire to contribute on a much larger level.
Overall, i want to provide a centralized place where we can meet and discuss things that are relevant to the CSRA and then take that info and promote it within the larger drupal community.
Just a centralized area to gather awesomes in the CSRA that have to do with drupal.
I want everybody's opinion and input on this.
