So, we all know that VoIP Drupal facilitates the construction of Drupal sites that virtually pick-up the phone, make calls, record messages, send and receive text messages, run voice polls, and more.
I am using VoIP Drupal on a few of my sites and I am trying to figure out new ways to integrate it as part of my Web Development Services. I would like to offer a few ways for a client to integrate VoIP Drupal on their site as examples, and would love some feedback on how people are using VoIP Drupal...
-
How did you find out about VoIP Drupal?
-
What are you using VoIP Drupal for? (how many sites, are you a programmer or a site admin etc...)
-
When you tell people about VoIP Drupal, what is the first thing you mention, how do you describe it?
If you have a site using VoIP Drupal, could you please post a link to it? I am using VoIP Drupal on FreeSchoolUniversity.org to enable teacher to post audio announcements. As soon as my other sites are out of beta, I will post links.

interesting
I am also interesting in learning what others use it for.
Can you please set the pace by giving us more information about how / why you are using druVOIP. Posting audio announcements could have been done with filefield or audio module
Newest Announcements read using VoIP Drupal
We are using a custom module based on VoIP Drupal to enable teachers to post new announcements, and when you call our VoIP number, the newest posted announcement is read to them.
Also using VoIP Drupal for...
I am also using VoIP Drupal to create conference calls on my Website for meetings with my colleagues.
Why?
*No more difficult to remember conference phone numbers
*No more long confirmation numbers for a call
*Call pricing starts around one cent per minute
I am setting up now to enable a phone extension for Teachers/Instructors on the FreeSchoolUniversity.org site. Each teacher will have an extension that they can enable. They will be able to choose from a variety of scripts like, conference, voicemail, record messages etc.
Will also set up for teachers to enable a phone extension for any class information nodes (each node can be assigned an extension) they have posted - this will allow them to send a voice or text message when class info changes, or perhaps send test scores to students...
I am overwhelmed with possibilities and would love to hear some ideas on how you would use VoIP Drupal, or questions about how to set it up etc...
Hope to see you at the Webinar~~

VoIP Drupal
That's really great to hear. So DrupalConnection, who is your Service Provider who's charging you 1cent per call on you VoIP Drupal, because I am working on a prototype to develop a social network with VoIP Drupal connectivity, does this mean my clients are going to get charged by that particular service provider or it differs from region to region?
