Revive the Edmonton Drupal group!

Wow! It has been a long time since anyone has posted anything here in the Edmonton groups. As my business is now getting more into website design, I thought perhaps I better get into the community more, and find some local people that work with Drupal and can do some networking.

I administer my clients sites quite nicely, but an in no way a designer or a coder! I would love to find someone local who can do both of those nicely.

I went to Drupal Camp in Lethbridge in 2008, and thought it was a great job! It would be nice to see another one next year....maybe on this side of Alberta this time.

So, for lack of anything else to do this morning (is that ever a real thought in this industry), I thought I would revive the Edmonton group by starting a post to wake up the email boxes of anyone here.

Would be nice to hear a "hello" comment from anyone listening!

Newer to Drupal and Working in Edmonton

Hey there, good to see somebody wants to light this group up again.

I started using Drupal in about November 2008 and I'm currently building a newspaper site with Drupal 6. I live and work in Edmonton and have actually looked to see if there's any Drupal events happening in the city (but alas, not too too much).

But yes, I'd be down for getting this group going again, and even meeting for a beer or something to talk about Drupal stuff we're doing and how we can help each other out.

To note, I have web design and (some) web development experience, but I major in Video and Film work.

Hi,

I'm a web developer that work mainly with Drupal and Wordpress. I do custom modules for D6 and D5 and themes.

I have been working with Drupal for 2 years (one in Edmonton). I've heard some people planning to create a Drupal meetup, it would be nice to create one during the summer.

ycimlynn met up a few weeks back just for some random discussion about Drupal stuff. Nothing organized or planned, but it was a good solid meeting.

I'd very much open to the idea of planning an official meet-up for Drupal folks in Edmonton. It would be great to hear other people's past and current Drupal projects and how we can help each other out. There's also people interested at Meetup.com here:
