How about integrating newsletter feature in Drupal core which can be turned on/off?

how about rocky rick roll, pants module and yeah twitter module as optional core? Get real :) Other than that simple news in core would mean other depending modules in core. Not happening, I would say.

I can't understand why to make such dependency?
The idea is, with newsletter, a site can publish content through mails. can't it?
Who cares about twitter!!!!
