Thanks to everyone who attended our inaugural Jacksonville Drupal Meetup tonight. We had 12 people in attendance and quite a few others who were unable to make it.

Items discussed:

Future Meeting Location
Options
-Florida Times-Union
-Jacksonville Southeast Library
-Jitesh's office on Baymeadows
-Modis conference room in Deerwood (Jamie)

Future Meetups
We scheduled the next four meetups for 2012. Each will occur on the third Tuesday of each month.
-April 17th - Talk about and go over how our attendees are using Drupal. View and talk about various sites we are using and introduce new attendees. Jitesh will give wrap-up of DrupalCon Denver.
-May 15th - Front-end development/UX on Drupal Sites
-June 18th - A theming presentation to be determined
-July 17th - Module presentation to be determined

Other items
Other items were brought up for discussions to talk about current problems and needs Jacksonville users are dealing with. These issues could be possible topics of conversation at future meetups or presentations.

-Drupal 7 Performance/Field Entities...Possibility of using Custom entities to eliminate so many tables on large field sites.
-Multiple instances of file/content distributing to various boxes on the cluster.
-Features module - Best practices for incremental updates and not one-time deployments
-Responsive design and Drupal. Ideas, problems, resolutions, etc...

I hope everyone had a great time and please add any information below regarding future meetings or locations. I'll setup the next event in the next week and edit this with it.

Hey Duval Drupalistas - I am at Drupalcon in Denver right now - but when I get back to Jax Beach I will be happy to know that I don't need to travel that far to engage with the community.

Great Work!

Agree with Mike. Great job of pulling the first one together. It's a great learning experience and a great way to find local people to ask quick questions of.
