User group meeting
The meeting for April will be on the usual day and at the usual time. On the agenda for this meeting are discussion about DrupalCon Denver and discussion about moving the meetings to usr/lib, possibly on a different day.
Since I didn't do the Ctools' Form wizard tool presentation, I can do that this time, if people are interested.
For those of you willing to help out, here are the things that are needed:
- Presentation(s) (maybe or maybe not, due to time)
- Snacks
- Beverages (water will be provided)
The Meetup posting is here: http://www.meetup.com/drupal-las-vegas/events/59188782/

Sorry Jason, but we're not
Sorry Jason, but we're not interested in boring CTools form wizard tool presentation. Please talk about what you and Casey saw at DrupalCon - what worked, what didn't work, how we should do our drupal camp, etc.
Lol excuse me for being blunt, I can honestly say the only people that will follow your presentation is Casey, Michael, and I. The rest are designers and we'll bore them as usual w/ developer talk. We can talk about it separately.

wow that is harsh.
How do you expect to get more developers involved if you never have any content for developers?
Speaking of harsh...
"never"?! Obviously, Mike was joking. Secondly, neither he nor anyone else has ever proposed doing away with all developer-focused content in the meetings. Thirdly, most of it has been related to development and not design.
Hehe thanks Michael.
Hehe thanks Michael.

No hard feeling Jonathan.
No hard feeling Jonathan. We're all pretty chill in the group, and I forgot there's others who may look at what I said as harsh. We all joke around w/ each other, including Jason (oadaeh), Michael (mjross), Casey (z3cka), etc. Come on by and check it out! The more we could get people involved in lvdug, the better, especially since we're planning to have a camp here!

LOL that's not being harsh.
LOL that's not being harsh. Jason knows my humor. Tone is not easily conveyed through text.
But I totally agree. However, so many people have come and gone to the meetups bc it was TOO developer centric. Don't get me wrong, I love all this talk w/ dev in Drupal. But not everyone who uses drupal is a dev. Just like not everyone who's in a startup is a dev. The presentations need to be more well rounded.
Anyways, since Jason and Casey were at DrupalCon, I think that would be the best topic to talk about since we're trying to hold a camp in Vegas.

Look into usr/lib
Btw, I'm gonna try to make it to @VegasJelly this Thursday and look in to moving the Drupal meetup to usr/lib.

I can help with the /usr/lib
Our company presented at the Jelly last thursday and we found it a great place for people to meetup. I will not be there this week but I will next week and I am happy to help in any way that I can.
Thanks Dylan. Definitely
Thanks Dylan. Definitely appreciate that. And also thanks for the follow. And also welcome to the #VegasTech family w/ TicketCake!

Maybe you missed that second sentence
I think those will actually be the primary focus of the meeting (and probably some discussion about the camp). The presentations are for filling in extra time, if there is any. I'm totally open to designer/themer type presentations, but no one has stepped up to volunteer on that point. Maybe if you had some sway over Lyn...
Theming presentations
Wouldn't the presentation on building themes using Artisteer be considered a designer/themer type of presentation?
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at this upcoming meeting, and hearing all about DrupalCon.
LOL you know how Rlynn
LOL you know how Rlynn is...she's super introverted, let alone up for presenting to a group. But I'll try to convince her.

Vote by proxy
Because of my workload this week (including an urgent request from one client for a new web site), I probably won't be able to make it this Friday evening. But if there is any sort of vote for whether or not to switch the location to /usr/lib, I would vote for it. As for my preferred time of day, mornings or afternoons would work better than evenings; and no preference as to what day of the week.
May be a little late...
Stopping to hang out with some co-workers fir a bit before the meeting. Hope to get there before 7ish.
