THIS Wednesday MetroWest Drupal Meetup at Natick Library
My esteemed colleague of Drupal meetup etiquette fame booked a room in our usual hangout, the Morse Institute Library at 14 East Central Street, downtown Natick by the Common, a block from the MBTA stop.
And then he never posted about it here. Or told his Agaric colleagues either. But the meetup is officially on now!
On the topic agenda:
- Communication in a web collective
- Timeliness in all things
- The measured use of sarcasm in posts
And probably some Drupal stuff too, such as a preview / practice run of top-ranked session proposal for Drupal Design Camp Boston on Views 2 theming and a report-back on the RDFa in core code sprint.
And oh yeah... if you come, you can define what we all talk about and what problems we try to solve!

Greetings
Experienced Developer exploring all types of CMS/Blogging Software, Drupal certainly appears to be the most powerful, would enjoy learning more about Drupal and Agaric. Thanks
Break a leg! Oh, please don't, we need you at Drupal Design Camp
Wanted to wish you guys good luck on your trial run presentations for http://boston.design4drupal.org Drupal Design Camp. I'd love to be there but the rain makes my cozy-factor kick in and I shall remain working on camp from home.
Thanks Agaric for being a sponsor and all your help with the camp.
Susan
Cheers to Agaric!
I echo the positive vibe for Agaric, Susan, backing that up with my vote for the "Views 2 Theming" session by Agaric's dhakimzadeh.
Maybe in the next Agaric-dominated Drupal meetup, I won't be dumb enough to walk out of the following bar session without paying my part of the bill (sorry about that, I owe you guys one). :-)
PCI DSS Compliance
To followup on our meetup discussion regarding Ubercart, here is a link to the organization responsible for information on PCI DSS compliance for anyone who may be interested:
https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/
I'm looking much more deeply into it this morning, since my project will likely need such compliance.
No Go For Us
While the requirements to become PCI DSS compliant are straight-forward covering all the basics of security, there is an official process (with apparently quite a few hoops to jump through) to qualify for official compliance (including hiring a qualified professional to test your compliance).
Given our current circumstances (limited resources), we are going to have PayPal (who claims to be PCI DSS compliant) handle most of the "weight" of financial transactions.
