Recap

Our last meetup was very informal. We didn't have any agenda other than to come up with a list of topics for the next few months, which we did accomplish. And we had a couple of new faces at the meetup as well!

Here's the forecasted topics:

  • June - Themeing 101 presented by Harry
    • This session work with a basic theme (like Bartik) and show how to tweak it (colors, add an image header, etc.)
    • Harry will also go over some basic Drupal terminology

  • July - Features module presented by Bill
    • Show how to use this module to create custom modules which will allow you to migrate your new 'features' to a production environment

  • August - Organic Groups presented by Chris
    • Chris is going to play with Organic Groups to get the gist of how it works and talk about what he learned

  • September - Rules & Display Suite presented by Mike
    • Go over the basics of Rules
    • Go over Display Suite and how to use/configure it

  • October - Single Sign-on (or Logging in with a 3rd party service, facebook, twitter, etc.) presented by Danielle
    • We talked about doing this as a group code jam and just figuring out what works together, but Danielle has been looking into this recently, and I think she'll likely be ready to give a talk on the topic by October! :)

That's what I have from my notes. As always, feel free to chime in if you have any specific questions regarding future topics, or just new topic requests.
