HDUG May Meeting: The Lightning Saga!

It's May and time for another HDUG meeting! This month, we're going to try a new format: Lightning Talks!

Choose a Drupal-related topic (or a general web topic that may be of interest to a Drupal crowd) and be prepared to discuss it for FIVE MINUTES MAX. After ALL the lightning talks are finished, we can discuss the various talks that people have given.

I realize this is short notice to prepare, but it's ALSO a short presentation to prepare. So, it's ok. :-) No need for slides, or if you have them, it'd be nice if they're web-based. I'm not sure we want to spend a lot of time switching computers, etc. For a 5 minute talk, index cards also work.

I've you're going to give a talk, please RSVP and/or reply to this thread with your topic. To get your brain going, I'll suggest a few topics

Suggested topics:

• A specific Drupal module you've been using and think would be helpful for others to know about
• A specific feature in a module you've been using. Some of these modules are HUGE.
• discussion of a theme you like
• a summary or 'state of the union" on new developments in the Drupal community you have interest in
  • This one, for example, seems interesting: http://drupal.org/node/1448418
  • This area ALONE could provide infinite Lightning Talks. There are always new issues and they're always being discussed on Drupal.org. A brief summary of the current state of a key issue would be VERY valuable.
• A specific area of Drupal development you're interested in (Theming; Module development; Accessibility; Responsive Design; UX; HTML5/CSS3; Mobile)

Those are just some ideas to get the wheels turning. So, please RSVP and add a comment to this thread with topics you're planning to give a Lightning Talk on. That way, we can avoid two people doing the SAME talk.
