Notes, 6-16-2009

We had the meeting at the Brillobox, which was a great space. I have contacted the owner to see if there are dates available in July or August, but have not heard back. If anyone has any ideas for other spaces we should try, you can add them to the wiki.

In contrast to most of our meetings to date, new users outweighed the old hands at this one, so it turned into a session introducing everyone to Drupal, including those essential modules that make Drupal work more intuitively for new users.

Modules that we talked about included Admin Menu, Menu Block, Menu Breadcrumb, PathAuto, and Wysiwyg. (sidenote: I've done a little write up of those five modules on my site.) Also, we talked about more advanced modules such as Cobalt (which is like Quicksilver for Drupal) and Drush, the Drupal Shell (again)
