I just released a beta version of the RPX module which uses the RPX service from JanRain to allow users to sign-in or register using common 3rd party services like Google, Yahoo and Facebook. I could use some feedback if anyone has the time to try it out.

I'll be sure to check it out.

I'll be looking at it soon.
i do declare
So, just to clarify to myself. A user comes to your site and if they have an account, let's say, with Google, then in a way they already have an "account" on your site and can be authenticated without having to go through the complete reg process w/ drupal? Am I right on this?

Correct
Correct. It will automatically register you with your Google credentials. If you are already logged in to Google, then you are basically registering on the site with one click. Try registering on the demo site.

I like it.
Yeah, that's really cool. I'm going to install it on my site and see if might encourage more users to interact with the site. (comments, etc.)
nice work, sir.
i've got installed...
I've installed the module and I like what I see so far.
I think I'm going to change the wording a little bit to catch users' eyes because many may understand what "RPX login" is.
installation steps?
Do you have the installation instructions anywhere? I've copied the module into /sites/all/modules and can enable it within Drupal's module section.
Issue:
When I reach "Home » Administer » Site configuration » RPX Configuration" and click on
a) either "Setup this site for RPX"
OR
b) if I manually punch in the "RPX API Key" and hit [Save configuration]
(BTW, I got the API key from rpxnow.com -> Application Info -> API Key)
It appears to take forever ... almost like its not getting anything back. Any ideas where I can get started for troubleshooting?
FYI, my host has "allow_url_fopen : Off " in http://panel.byethost.com/panel/index.php?option=phpconfig
Thanks for the great module ! I wish I can get it working ... the concept of a single-signon is awesome!
