Expanding onto other sites
FYI for the current group members - I know that sometimes I forget to log into groups.drupal.org, so I created some tie-in accounts on other popular sites that I'll be updating along with this group. Hopefully this will help expand our reach to a few new members as well as help keep everyone more informed on their website of choice.

Meetup.com?
Are we planning a meetup group? (Looks like there are some folks waiting for one.)
I was completely planning on
I was completely planning on it, until I found out that it costs more than $12 a month (at the cheapest) to have a group. I could start the group on the three-months payment ($45 or $15/mo) and if we get some people or companies to help sponsor it, that would be great. It's just not an option for me to charge people to come to the meetups, even if it's to help cover the cost of the membership. That just doesn't seem right.
