Each of the sites in my multisite configuration represents a client implementation and most of my clients want to be able to have analytics information on their specific sub-site. I can use the Google Analytics module to feed their GA account, just fine. But is there a method I can use to get reporting across all sites in the multi-site configuration?

If you use only one theme for all sites that I don't think you do , you can add the Google analytics at the page.tpl.php.
You can add Google analytics at the page.tpl.php at each template file of the Theme.
Another way could be to use the Drupal add_js (with the Google Analytics) to add to all sites.

I take it adding a second Google Analytics tracking script won't interfere with the other one?
Multisite Analytics
In that js file you can add as many scripts accounts as you want. There is no interference.
