*Drupal Camp Delhi 2012* announced :: 08 Dec

Hi,

For the last 2 months, there has been continuous action in the Delhi-NCR region with fairly regular meetups. Unfortunately, few members from the larger community show up other than the volunteers from Srijan. It's normally just the same 3-4 faces. Today, at the meetup was no different.

Anyhow, one of the Agenda points to be discussed was to announce a proposed date for the DCD 2012.

We have Saturday, 08 Dec as the (proposed) date. We shall move this date only if JNU (the watering hole for all of us) is not available that date.

Earlier 24 Nov was proposed, but we have shifted this, the members felt it would give us enough time to plan a good event. 01 Dec was clashing with Foss.in. Obviously we do not want that.

We're using "Asana" to manage various tasks/to-dos leading upto the event. We've forced some to-dos onto some members who were not present on the meetup, including Piyush Poddar of Monsoon Consulting, Jaipur and Mahesh Bukka of Tekriti.

We're proposing to meet at JNU - the proposed DCD event site - every Saturday from 4pm to 6pm, to monitor progress.

For this event we will continue to use FSF.org.in as our "partners" (if they choose to accept us), and would thus be routing all funds we generate to them. We will be scheduling a meeting with Sudev Brar of FSF shortly.

Our Drupal Assoc India goal for nominating 2 people from the Delhi NCR region would emerge out from these meetups.

Look forward to participation from the larger community in India in our event. And i hope this announcement will spur more Camps in other regions.
