Update on Regional meet @Pune

Hey Guys,

We had a nice meet on Saturday 13, Oct'12 @ Faichi Solutions, Baner, Pune.

I am glad that finally Pune is stepping up with Drupal. Many people from
different drupal expertise and skill levels gathered to discuss on various drupal topics.
Thanks to Faichi Solutions to allow community to use their infrastructure.

• Abhishek gave a nice presentation on custom module development, building blocks for beginners & intermediates.
• Saket gave a very nice presentation on Theme development and customization with omega tools as case study.
• Lastly Rakesh initiated a good discussion on differences made in Drupal8.

Along with these sessions we had some very good discussions about Drupal in Pune.
Some novice, beginners, students shared their experiences. Mainly how
they struggle with Drupal resources and Drupal knowledge.
While some experts shared their views about how did they land in Drupal,
why it was a best choice or necessity, and last but not the least how powerful
Drupal is.

I am sure many got new words, knowledge & endavors like drush, base/sub themes,
whole package, learning curve & many more.

I wish we will have more & more faces in upcoming events and meet ups.

The minutes of meetings :
1) We need to reach out to beginners like students from different colleges
2) We need to reach out to professionals who are around Drupal but not on it
3) We need to show the confidence around to get support from community at times

Some proposed sessions :
1) How to reap out maximum out of Drupal.org
2) BOF (Birds of Feathers) discussion e.g. guidance to beginners, discussion among contributors
