strategy question
Hi Gusaus, I appreciate all your efforts to organize the development and maintenance of a dojo.
As an Instructional Designer and technology trainer, I have often felt compelled to dive in and help where I can but I am experiencing a barrier. I don't have a lot of time and I am finding it difficult to quickly get a status on all the documentation, posts, needs, requests, and ideas you have.
I have an idea that I can't imagine you haven't already considered but looking at the dojo site and the links on the group "homepage," I don't see that this idea is in play. So, here goes ...
Have you considered expanding the dojo site? Maybe make the site your organizing tool? Each time someone lands on the homepage, they not only see the latest lesson but they get a reminder that what you are trying to organize and do. Put requests for help as a "ad" block maybe? Your ideas and efforts are buried here and unless someone wants to go digging, they might not see what you are doing. Or if they do occasionally see a post of interest, it quickly gets pushed down the list and potentially forgotten.
I saw in a recent post how an all-volunteer dojo might not work. You might be right but maybe my suggestion would create the opportunity for people to better see where they can fit in and help. I have developed and managed the development of many instructional product projects and it can be quite time consuming. Maybe a section of the site could promote and manage small tasks that folks can do as a volunteer to keep the train rolling?
Lastly, a section of the dojo site dedicated to your efforts might go over well with those who simply want to give money. If they can quickly see what you are doing, your progress, etc. they might feel more confident in supporting the effort.
Maybe organizing is where I can help? I don't know, it is up to you. Just some thoughts.

I had a little time this
I had a little time this morning and clicked around a little and stumbled on this post (http://groups.drupal.org/node/25188) and found that it addressed some of what I am referring to above.
So I was right, you have thought of what I suggested above. Not sure if the information is FYI or if you are looking for help.
Anyway, just wanted to followup.

Organization is a priority (and we need help!)
All good points and recognized issues. Organizing all this info in a way it makes sense is going to require better use of the Drupal infrastructure (groups, tagging issues, etc.), an improved Drupal Dojo site (in the works), and more importantly people like yourself who could add clarity to the chaos and possibly mentor in your areas of expertise.
Assuming it was lost in the shuffle, this may provide some additional detail to our current effort to create a sustainable open learning program. We're definitely still looking for help!
