DrupalCon Honolulu?

Did you know that The DrupalCon Asia-Pacific Regional Organizing Group has been formed which seeks to determine a location for the first DrupalCon in this region?
I know that Hawai'i does not have the largest community of Drupal developers, but I believe Honolulu is an ideal candidate due to its location to the Americas and Asia.

Judging from the discussion in the other thread, Drupalcon Hawai'i is unlikely at this time. However, a Drupal camp would be very doable. I am no longer in the islands, so I can't offer any hands-on support. But if you'd like to brainstorm, I'd certainly be willing to work with you to get you started on a successful camp.
