I was the person who started this group initially. I live in Western Wisconsin and only occasionally get over to the cities for meetings. At the last meeting I went to Barry Madore (bmadore) and I decided that it was really appropriate that Barry take over as the manager of the group (this doesn't really mean a lot in this context except that Barry will have more admin privileges for the group and I will have less).
The policy for this sort of change on groups.drupal.org is that the current manager needs to post the proposed change, and then open a discussion. After 2 weeks we can then request that the group manager change. So - this is the proposal, that Barry will be the manager of the group and I will not. Please post any issues you may have with this within the next two weeks.

"Take over the group"? Yikes! Benevolent collaborator at best. We are all in this together. I don't expect any changes at all in how we work as a group but I do hope I'll be able to add and remove "sticky" status on posts...

Sorry to disappoint Barry but --- I can't control sticky either. I really think the only major change will be that you'll be listed as the Chief Poo-Bah - I don't think you'll get any more control over anything.

I'm feeling the need to grab power ;) Actually, just wondering if there's anything I need to be doing to go the next step? Since it is mainly control over "stickies" that I'm looking for, I figured we could request that level of access when requesting my asc(desc?)endance to the TCDrupal community site throne.

Thanks for whacking me up the side of the head. This had sort of fallen off my radar.
I sent in the request to the GDO admins about 5 minutes ago to change the owner.
I looked into the sticky issue a little bit, and as far as I can tell this is a functionality that people have been asking for for 4 years or so, but it appears it has never been implemented. I don't think you're going to get it, but I've asked. THe problem is that there's no way in the current implementation to make an article sticky ONLY in a single group, and ----
Anyhoo - it should be in process, but I don't think you're going to see any particular change other than that you'll be listed as the owner of the group rather than me.
