I'm working on a small site for a newspaper were users can purchase gift certificates from local businesses for the holidays. Local businesses don't have a way to sell their certificates online and this will give them that ability. Local businesses will be adding the certificate nodes to this site or the admin will add them and set the author to that business.
Is there a way to have the author receive an email containing the user's (purchaser's) contact info and the product they purchased from that author.
The example would be:
User A adds four certificates from four different businesses to their cart and purchases them. Like usually the admin and user A gets an email. Then the four businesses receive an email with user A's contact info and what product they purchased from that business.
Can this be done? Or will the admin of the site have to manually email the businesses?
I've tried to add a new conditional action to email the business. The action is set to email an order invoice and recipient is set to [author-email] but that doesn't work.

Any luck
I was just curious to see whether you had any luck or responses to this post, or even if you figured it out. I'm looking for an identical solution myself.
Ubercart Marketplace
I ended up using the Ubercart Marketplace module. It works pretty well. The seller will receive an email telling them that their products were sold and to login to fill the orders. They won't see the order in the email but a link to their account. From the site they can view all orders, fill them, email the custom, etc. Works really well.
