Top Issues with TinyMCE, can you help?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I spent several hours during OSCMS clearing old issues from the TinyMCE issue queue and grouping issues that have never been resolved or the suggested resolution was never included. My ultimate goal is keep the open issues in the queue limited to 4 or 5 pages. Last weekend by closing all the 4.6 issues, closing old install issues, and marking several issues as duplicate I was able to whittle the list from 13 to 7 pages. I wish I had better tools to group issues and assign tasks, but I'm slogging through this with what I have.

The issues that come up again and again that still aren't resolved in any release are...

Summary of gzip/compressor Issues
Summary of Width CSS/Resizing Issues
Summary of Filters/HTML cleanup Issues
Summary of Translation Issues
Summary of textarea on/off by content type Request

I would really like to find someone to help with each of this but more than the others I need help with the translation issues. I know very little about how translations work in Drupal or TinyMCE. I can read French and Spanish with difficulty and speak each worse than a slow 5 or 6 year-old. Anyone?

Hi,

i'm rather new to drupal but i already did some gettext-translation (that's how it works in drupal) and i'm a native german speaker so i could probably help there.

I'll have a look at the summary.

best,
Frank

Have you been following

Have you been following what's going on with the new language subsystem coming in Drupal 6. Obviously fixing the existing issues is the priority, but if possible I'd like to fix them in a way that will compatible with Drupal 6.

Spanish

I am not a native Spanish speaker, but on April 19 the Buenos Aires Drupal Users Group is having its monthly meeting (see http://groups.drupal.org/node/3321), and I will try to enlist several into a team effort. I am sure several use the module, and the desire to give something back to the community is great.

At the same time, I have used poedit, and am accustomed to the existing localization scenarios, so will do my best to check out the issue queue on this score also.
